Doctor Who

I was just watching one of the episodes of Doctor Who Voyage of the Damned and this quote is one of my top 10 fav quotes ever from Doctor Who.

"I shall be taking you to Old London town in the country of UK, ruled over by Good King Wenceslas. Now, human beings worship the great god Santa, a creature with fearsome claws and his wife Mary. And every Christmas Eve, the people of UK go to war with the country of Turkey. They then eat the Turkey people for Christmas dinner, like savages."

Just thought I'd share.

Journey to a smaller me

Starting soon you may see less of me or that's the plan at least. I will be starting Medifast. I've finally come to a place in my life where I am happy with exactly who I am. But looking into my future and with Nursing I cannot be a good Nurse at my current weight. I am scared because I know how hard this can be, but I've dealt with more difficult things. I also hope by loosing weight it will help with a decrease in my pain. If it doesn't oh well.
My first major goal is to be the weight on my drivers license

I hopefully will be able to share my journey on here, if i remember.

Long time no post.

So I'm a total slacker. A quick update on whats going on in my sewing world.

I named my sewing machine Gwilym, the name may change because I'm not really loving it.

I have been sewing and well I actually won some fabric from Smashed peas and carrots. I can't wait to get it.

I'm in another craft swap from Craftster, we shall see what I get.

And I'm going back to school!! Hopefully this summer term!!! I wont have my RN till 2015 but hey better late than never.

A New items for my Craft room

For those who live in Portland may or may not of heard of Title Wave Bookstore. Go check them out, here is what they are- The Title Wave Used Bookstore sells retired Multnomah County Library materials at discounted prices. - Awesome place to get kids books and CDs.

So now back to my new additions. Today I scored 2 new crafting books-

First one- The Sewing Bible

Here is the best part...wanna know how much I paid for it?? $7. That's right ladies and gentlemen SEVEN DOLLARS!!! And it is not on its last leg...heck I think its only got its foot chopped off on the first leg. I am soo excited about it.

Number 2- Fleece for Kids: Easy-To-Sew Clothes & Toys with patterns!!

Paid $1.50 for it.

Last is my other score from a previous trip

Ultimate Sewing Bible

This one is okay. Not my fav book, more for interior design sewing and hand sewing. It's a nice reference to have.

So far these are my craft room books.
